Online poker has become world celebrated as of late, with televised events and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, arcs back in reality a bit farther than its TV ratings. Over the years several variants on the original poker game have been created, including some games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely related to blackjack than long-standing poker, in that the players bet against the bank rather than each other. The succeeding hands, are the established poker hands. There is no concealment or different types of bamboozlement. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up prior to the croupier announcing "No more bets." At that point, both you and the bank and of course every one of the other players acquire 5 cards each. Once you have seen your hand and the dealer’s first card, you must in turn make a call wager or give up. The call wager’s value is akin to your original wager, meaning that the stakes will have increased two fold. Giving Up means that your ante goes instantly to the dealer. After the bet is the conclusion. If the dealer does not have ace/king or better, your wager is given back, with an amount in accordance with the original wager. If the casino has a hand with ace/king or better, you win if your hand is greater than the casino’s hand. The bank pony’s up chips equal to your wager and set odds on your call bet. These odds are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for 2 pairs
  • 3-1 for 3 of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • twenty to one for a four of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
